Mario's Tacos
About This Spot
Mario's Tacos sits quietly along Whittier Boulevard in Pico Rivera, inviting you through its unassuming doorway into a space that feels like a cherished local gathering spot. The atmosphere is steady and welcoming, with a subtle hum of conversation and the occasional flicker from televisions that provide a low-key background murmur rather than distraction. It moves at a comfortable pace, where the focus is on the simple joy of sharing good food amid familiar surroundings.
Stepping inside, you’ll notice touches that hint at history and pride—walls adorned with framed moments that together create an ambiance reminiscent of a miniature gallery rather than a typical fast-food joint. This blend of the traditional with the everyday offers a quiet nod to the community’s stories and flavors.
The menu at Mario's Tacos reflects a sincere devotion to classic Mexican flavors and comfort food that satisfies without fuss. It’s the kind of place where the warmth of a green chili burrito or the nostalgic crunch of taquitos is enhanced by the casual charm of well-prepared, straightforward dishes. Whether you find yourself lingering over a plate of chile relleno paired with freshly made guacamole or grabbing a hearty burrito to-go, there’s a sense of familiarity that welcomes repeat visits.
What stands out here is less about flash and more about the human moments—the friendly nods from kitchen staff, the chatter of neighbors catching up, and the steady rhythm of locals who make this their go-to spot. Even amid the occasional hustle and bustle, Mario’s maintains a steadyhearted vibe, one that has quietly earned it a place in the daily lives of many around Pico Rivera.

Entities was OK but our cashier was really rude. A very short young female. Everyone else was extremely nice and helpful.

This is my first time at Mario's Tacos and trying out the food my wife and her dad they been here many times they say it sports and Mexican and presidential pictures and so many items at this restaurant it feel like a musuem. But anyways we look at the menu display and see what to order then we saw.a sign it's CASH ONLY there's a ATM we got cash to purchase our meal. My wife order the chorizo plate and her dad order the albondiga soup and I decided to order the two tacos of shredded beef plate. The restaurant is very popular with local residents coming for breakfast or lunch it also a bathing places to met. They call our number to pick up our food my wife dad albondiga soup looks very good. I open the container it have two shredded beef tacos and rice and bean. The tacos is very crunchy with one bite and I can taste the flavors of the taco like the shredded beef season well very good it have cheese, lettuce and Pico de gallo and the rice and beans were very good full of flavors I really enjoy it. My wife say her chorizo plate was not good it lack more chorizo and the egg were over cook she couldn't taste the flavors of the eggs and the chorizo. My father in law enjoy the albondiga soup and rice he finished the meal. We need to come back again

One of the best places to eat in Pico Rivera. They have a couple of tv's in the dining room but not loud. The food is always delicious.
